There are a lot of traditions people participate in with their families every year on Thanksgiving – stuffing themselves with delicious food, watching the parade on TV, and saying what we’re thankful for are just a few examples. However, these new Thanksgiving family activities could add some excitement to the routine.
Design a Family Cookbook
Get the kids involved with meal prep if you’re the one hosting the holidays. Then, you can put together all your family’s great creations into a family cookbook.
Make Turkey Placemats
Have kids make their own placements by having them design their own colorful hand-turkeys.
Construct a Gratitude Tree
Have your loved ones write what they’re thankful for on leaves cut out of green, red, and yellow construction paper, then pin the leaves to a tree made of brown paper.
Donate or Volunteer
A lot of poverty-stricken families won’t be able to take off work, feed their families, or get adequate shoes and clothing this holiday season, so why not consider having your family donate or volunteer on Thanksgiving?
These Thanksgiving family activities will add an extra spark of joy to the holiday by allowing your loved ones to get creative, spend time together, and be thankful for the season. Introduce one of these new traditions this upcoming Thanksgiving.
From all of us here at Ruge’s Chevrolet, we hope you have a happy Thanksgiving.
